Introducing the new LIGERO SLW Hubset! The concept of this hubset was to make a lightweight, but as stiff as possible wheel. To make a wheel stiff, you need to make the flange spacing as wide as possible.
So with this hubset I made the flange spacing as wide as possible. The front is approximately 8mm wider than conventional hubs and the rear is 15mm wider than conventional hubs.
The rear wheel uses a double drive side lacing pattern with 16 drives spokes and 8 non-drive spokes. What this does is raises the non-drive side tension 25% higher than a standard laced rear wheel. Another feature of the rear lacing pattern is near perfect tangent pulling spokes which makes the wheel extremely efficient at transmitting drive torque.
